The Governing Board (GB)

The governing board is responsible for driving CEPOL's strategy and for making decisions.
The Governing Board adopts decisions to express its opinion.
If the decisions of the Governing Board are very important for CEPOL work, each decision document is assigned in a unique number and signed by the Chair of the Governing Board.
The task of The Governing Board is also to supervise and to make sure of the good running of the Secretariat and the Director.

The Governing Board is made up of representatives from the EU Member States.
It means that each EU Member States can provide one voting member. If more person from one EU Member State wish to attend to the GB, it forms a delegation but still with only one voting member.

The GB is also made up of: the European Council, the European Commission, other European Agencies (AEPC, Europol, Frontex,…) and also the speakers of the meetings.

The GB meets usually four times a year in the EU Member States which is President.
